Professional Achievements
  • President of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India during 2008-09. Have been a Member of the Central Council of the Institute from 1995 till 2011. Represented the Institute in various Committees.
  • Worked in close co-operation with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in developing the cost accounting records and cost audit, costing taxonomy and business rules.
  • Appointed as Insolvency Resolution Professional for Nicco Corporation Limited – the first case of Insolvency under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 carried out in India.
During the tenure as a Council Member of the Institute
  • Played significant role in suggesting suitable provisions for the Companies Bills of 1997, 2008 and 2011. Member of the Expert Group constituted by the Institute for drafting and preparing Institute’s proposal and recommendation for the Companies Bill.
  • Represented the Institute in International Federation of Accountants, South Asian Federation of Accountants, and Confederation of Asian & Pacific Accountants.
  • Member of the Cost Accounting Standards Board of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

After laying down office as a Council Member of the Institute
  • Member of the Technical Cell constituted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India for issuing guidelines on cost accounting records rules, cost audit and cost accounting standards including responding to queries from Practicing Members and Industry.
  • Speaker and Trainer at various Continuing Education Programmes organised by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Conducted Training Programmes on Cost Accounting Records Rules and Cost Audit for Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
